OpenAI merged its web-browsing agent (Operator) and its research agent (Deep Research) into a single system called ChatGPT Agent. It can now browse the web, interact with websites, and produce analyst-grade research reports, all in one flow. Previously those were separate tools. Now it’s one employee that can both research and act.

Google launched Workspace Studio, which lets anyone create AI agents inside Google Workspace using plain English. No code. You literally type “every Friday, ping me to update my tracker” and it builds the agent. That rolled out to all users on February 27th.

Salesforce reported that its Agentforce platform handled 2.8 million customer support requests internally last year, saving hundreds of thousands of employee hours. They closed 22,000 Agentforce deals in Q4 alone. Their AI revenue hit $800 million ARR. That’s not a pilot programme. That’s a business unit.

Devin, the AI software engineer, went from $1 million in annual revenue to $73 million in under a year. Goldman Sachs calls it their first AI employee. It’s now authorised for use across US federal government agencies. It merges hundreds of thousands of code changes without a human writing a single line.

This isn’t next year. This is right now. February and March 2026.

Why this matters more if you have 12 employees than if you have 12,000
